After the test
Book a follow-up consultation with your practitioner to review your breath test results. Bring both substrate results. Do not self-treat based on results alone.
Your test results will be available in your private dashboard. If there are any urgent issues, we'll let you know so you can follow up with your health professional.
Understanding results
Hydrogen: A rise of more than 20 ppm above baseline within the first 90 minutes is generally considered positive.
Methane: Levels above 10 ppm at any point may suggest methanogenic archaea. Methane-dominant patterns are associated with constipation-type symptoms.
Your practitioner will interpret your gas curves in the context of your symptoms.
