IgG+IgA 96 Combination Food Panel

$399.00 AUD

Experiencing both digestive and systemic symptoms and want to map your immune responses to foods at both the gut and whole-body level?

At-home blood spot test measuring IgG and IgA antibody responses to 96 foods. IgG reflects systemic immune exposure; IgA reflects gut-level mucosal responses. Results should guide supervised elimination trials with your healthcare provider.

Overview

The IgG+IgA Combination Panel tests both antibody types to 96 foods. IgG antibodies reflect systemic immune exposure circulating throughout the body, while IgA antibodies reflect mucosal immunity at gut surfaces.

Testing both provides two different perspectives on how your immune system interacts with foods. IgG shows what your immune system has encountered systemically, and IgA may indicate gut-level immune activation. Neither reliably predicts adverse reactions without clinical correlation, so results should guide supervised elimination-and-challenge protocols rather than drive unsupervised dietary restriction.

This panel suits people whose symptoms involve both digestive and systemic components, and those wanting broader immune mapping to discuss with their healthcare provider.

Symptoms

Suited for people wanting both systemic and gut-level food immune assessment to guide supervised elimination trials with their healthcare provider, particularly when symptoms affect multiple body systems.

Questions

  • IgG reflects systemic immune exposure. IgA reflects gut-level mucosal responses. Testing both gives two different perspectives on how your immune system interacts with foods.
  • This depends on your symptoms. Digestive symptoms may correlate more with IgA. Systemic symptoms may relate more to IgG. Your practitioner can guide interpretation based on your clinical picture.
  • This suggests systemic immune exposure without significant gut-level reaction. The clinical relevance depends on your specific symptoms.
  • More data requires more careful interpretation. Work with practitioners experienced in food sensitivity assessment to prioritise findings and avoid unnecessary restriction.
  • More data, not necessarily more accurate. The same limitations apply. Neither IgG nor IgA reliably predicts adverse reactions without clinical correlation.
  • Foods elevated on both may warrant priority in supervised elimination trials, but confirm through real-world testing of food removal and reintroduction rather than assuming they are problematic.

How to prepare

No fasting required. Continue eating your normal diet so the test reflects current food exposures. Avoid antihistamines for 48 hours before collection. Collect the blood spot sample using the provided allergy card and post it back promptly.

After the test

Discuss your results with a healthcare provider who can help prioritise which foods to trial removing. Foods elevated on both IgG and IgA may be reasonable starting points for supervised elimination. Your provider can guide systematic reintroduction and track symptoms to identify true triggers versus incidental findings.

Your test results will be available in your private dashboard. If there are any urgent issues, we'll let you know so you can follow up with your health professional.

Understanding results

Results show both IgG and IgA antibody levels for each of the 96 foods tested, categorised as normal, borderline, or elevated. Foods elevated on both antibody types may warrant priority attention, but this should be confirmed through supervised elimination-and-challenge protocols. More data requires more careful interpretation, so discuss your results with a practitioner experienced in food sensitivity assessment.

Simple health checks in my control

I didn't know that private blood tests were an option. Tried this platform as the packages suited what I wanted for a good price. Easy to follow instructions, and super quick results. Platform provides more information than my gp's ever have on the tests and what the results meant. Would like more clinics to be able to test at (specifically Capital Pathology) but there is a decent network. Will continue to use.
