Overview

The Heavy Metal Analysis measures 14 toxic metals in a spot urine sample collected at home. The test captures what your kidneys are actively eliminating, giving a picture of your current toxic metal burden and excretion.

The test screens for metals commonly encountered through diet, environment and occupation: mercury (seafood, dental amalgams), lead (old pipes, paint), aluminium (cookware, antiperspirants), cadmium (smoking, industrial exposure), arsenic (water contamination) and others.

Suited to people with unexplained symptoms that may be linked to toxic metal exposure, those monitoring chelation or detoxification therapy, workers with occupational metal contact, or anyone wanting to assess their toxic metal burden.

  • Urine testing measures what your kidneys are actively excreting, reflecting current elimination of toxic metals. Blood testing shows recent acute exposure. How to prepare

Collect a spot (random) urine sample using the container provided in your kit. Avoid seafood for 48 hours before collection. Follow the kit instructions for sample handling and return postage.

After the test

If you think you have had a sudden or high-level exposure to a heavy metal, or you feel acutely unwell, seek emergency medical care immediately rather than waiting to collect and post a sample.

Discuss results with a healthcare provider experienced in environmental medicine. Your provider can advise on identifying and reducing exposure sources, whether further intervention is appropriate, and follow-up testing.

Your test results will be available in your private dashboard. If there are any urgent issues, we'll let you know so you can follow up with your health professional.

Understanding results

Results show levels of 14 toxic metals compared to reference ranges. Elevated levels may indicate ongoing exposure or accumulated body burden. Your healthcare provider can interpret results in the context of your symptoms, exposure history and whether you are undergoing chelation therapy.
