How to prepare
- Collect a first-morning urine sample for the most accurate results.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before collection.
- Avoid supplements containing B-vitamins for 48 hours before collection (check with your practitioner first if you're unsure about stopping).
- Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to collection, but do not over-hydrate on the morning of the test.
- Follow all instructions included in your collection kit.
After the test
- Book a results review. This panel covers a lot of ground, so a practitioner walkthrough is strongly recommended.
- Prioritise with your practitioner. They can help you focus on the markers that matter most for your situation rather than trying to address everything at once.
- Discuss follow-up options. Your practitioner may suggest dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes, further testing or referral depending on your results.
- Plan a retest. If changes are made, retesting in 3 to 6 months can help track progress.
Your test results will be available in your private dashboard. If there are any urgent issues, we'll let you know so you can follow up with your health professional.
Understanding results
Your results will show metabolite levels across both metabolic and environmental categories, each plotted against reference ranges. Markers within range suggest those pathways are functioning within expected limits. Markers outside range may point to areas worth investigating further.
Because this panel covers a wide range of systems, it is best interpreted by a practitioner who can connect the dots between different markers and your symptoms. For example, elevated gut microbial markers alongside low B-vitamin markers may tell a different story than either result alone.
