How to prepare
1. Prepare Your Kit
Wash your hands with warm water and dry them thoroughly. Lay out your kit contents on a clean surface. Warming your hands and shaking them gently can help increase blood flow for easier collection.
2. Collect Your Sample
Use the provided lancet to perform a quick finger prick. Allow one or more drops of blood to fall onto the designated circles on the dried blood spot card. Ensure the circles are fully saturated, but avoid touching the card with your fingers.
3. Let It Dry
Allow your blood spot sample to dry completely at room temperature before packaging. Do not cover or seal the card until dry.
4. Pack and Return
Once dry, place the card and all components back into the return envelope provided. Seal and mail it using the pre-paid return label.
After the test
Share your results with a qualified practitioner who can assess them alongside your medications, symptoms and health history. They can advise on whether CoQ10 supplementation, dietary changes or further testing may be appropriate.
Your test results will be available in your private dashboard. If there are any urgent issues, we'll let you know so you can follow up with your health professional.
Understanding results
Your results show your circulating CoQ10 level. Levels within the reference range suggest adequate mitochondrial energy support and antioxidant capacity. Low levels may reflect age-related decline, medication effects (particularly statins), increased oxidative demand or insufficient dietary intake. Your practitioner can interpret your result alongside your medications, symptoms and health goals.
