How to prepare
1. Prepare Your Kit
Wash your hands with warm water and dry them thoroughly. Lay out the kit contents on a clean surface.
2. Collect Your Sample
Use the provided lancet to perform a quick finger prick. Allow one or more drops of blood to fall onto the designated circles on the dried blood spot card. Make sure the circles are fully saturated.
3. Let It Dry
Allow your blood spot sample to dry completely at room temperature before packaging.
4. Pack and Return
Once dry, place the card and all components back into the return envelope provided. Seal and mail it using the pre-paid return label.
After the test
Review your results and discuss with your GP or healthcare provider. They can interpret your levels in the context of your lifestyle, season and health history. Retesting every 3 to 6 months is practical, especially during winter or when adjusting supplementation.
Your test results will be available in your private dashboard. If there are any urgent issues, we'll let you know so you can follow up with your health professional.
Understanding results
Your report shows your total 25-hydroxyvitamin D level alongside reference ranges. Levels below the recommended range may be associated with low immunity, low mood and bone weakness. If your results are low, your healthcare provider can advise on whether increased sunlight exposure, dietary changes or supplementation may be appropriate.
