Your Results

Everything you need to know about when your results will be ready, where to find them, and what to do next.

Where can I find my results?

When your results are ready, you'll receive an email notification with a link to view them. You can also log in to your Bloody Good account at any time to check the status of your lab test. Your results will appear in the Results section of your account as soon as they've been released.

If you're not sure which email you used to create your account, try checking the inbox where you received your order confirmation.

What happens before my results are released?

Your sample is processed at a NATA-accredited pathology laboratory. Once the lab work is complete, our team reviews the results before releasing them to you. This step is where we check for any critical values that may need prompt attention. If anything is flagged, we'll notify you and recommend you see your GP as soon as possible. This review process can add a little time, but it's there to make sure nothing important is missed before your results land in your account.

How long does it take to get my results?

Most results are available within 48 hours, though it's best to leave 5 business days before contacting support. Keep in mind that any provided turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees, and a few things can shift the timeline:

  • Weekends and public holidays can slow processing, since laboratories and clinical review don't always run at full capacity outside business hours.
  • Some biomarkers take longer to process at the lab level than others, depending on the type of analysis required.
  • High-volume periods (such as around public holidays or promotional events) can occasionally create a short backlog.

What should I do if my results seem delayed?

If it's been longer than the timeframe listed on your order confirmation, here are a few things to try:

  • Log in to your account and check the status of your order. If the sample has been received by the lab, processing is underway.
  • Check your spam or junk folder for a results notification email.
  • If you're still waiting beyond the estimated window, get in touch with our support team, and we'll follow up with the lab on your behalf.

What if my results are outside the normal range?

If any of your results fall outside the reference range, it doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong. Reference ranges represent what's typical across a broad population, and individual results can sit outside those ranges for all sorts of reasons.

The most useful next step is to take your results to your GP. They can look at the numbers alongside your medical history, symptoms, and overall health picture to give you a clearer sense of what the results mean for you specifically.

Can I access my past results?

Yes. All of your results are stored in your Bloody Good Tests account. You can log in at any time to view or download results from previous orders. This makes it easy to compare results over time and track changes in your biomarkers.

Can I take my results to any GP?

Yes. Your results belong to you, and you can share them with any healthcare professional you choose. You can download your results as a PDF from your Bloody Good Tests account, which makes it easy to email or print for your appointment.

Can I discuss my results with someone?

Once your results are available, they'll include your biomarker data and reference ranges. We provide the data, but we don't interpret what it means for your individual health. It's always worth chatting to your GP about your results so they can put the numbers in context with your full health picture.
