Where can I find the price of a test?

The price for each test is listed on its product page on our website. Pricing can vary between tests depending on the biomarkers included, so the product page is always the best place to check for current pricing.

Are there any extra fees at the collection centre?

No. The price you pay on our website covers everything, including the sample collection at the collection centre. There are no additional fees. If a collection centre tries to charge you a separate fee, please contact our support team straight away so we can resolve it.

Can I claim lab tests on private health insurance?

Lab tests ordered through Bloody Good are generally not covered by private health insurance. That said, policies vary between providers, so it may be worth checking with your insurer directly to see if any coverage applies to your specific plan.

Are lab tests through Bloody Good covered by Medicare?

Lab tests ordered through Bloody Good are not Medicare-claimable. Medicare covers tests that are ordered by a GP or specialist as part of a clinical consultation. Because our tests are customer-initiated, they are not covered under the Medicare Benefits Schedule.

If you're seeing your GP and they believe a particular test is clinically indicated, they can order it through the standard Medicare pathway. Our service is designed for people who want to monitor specific biomarkers on their own terms, as a complement to regular GP visits.
